About Me



     My name is Kelly Christman. I am a developing multimedia artist. Senior year of high school I found my passion for ceramics and have been exploring the medium ever since. I enjoy other art forms such as glass blowing, drawing and painting. 

     My goal as a ceramist is to create work that reflects my personality while maintaining functionality. My goals for the future are to push the limits of my sculptural work and incorporate greater function. I would like to explore more techniques and ceramic processes.

     Painting and drawing has established a direct connection between my emotions and subconscious that I otherwise would not be able to express. They are my go to mediums when I feel intense emotion or an idea strikes me. I then translate these feelings into clay.

     Glass blowing is a medium that I have just recently began to explore. I find it similar to the ceramic process, which explains my fascination for it. Like ceramics, my goal is  to create uniquely functional objects. I also explore the more sculptural aspects of glass.
